Each team may send up to 9 runners to the line in the varsity divisions. The Junior Varsity, Freshman, and Middle School Divisions are unlimited. Team scoring will be invitational style with the places of the top five finishers for each team comprising the team score. Six and seven runners count as pushers, all others are taken out of team scoring but can receive individual medals.
Please fill out your interest sheet as soon as possible so we can confirm the number of teams in the meet. You must also register online to officially enter the meet. The online entry deadline is Saturday 9.4.09. Meet entries fees can be found in the coaches letter and should be made payable to St. Louis University High School and should be sent to:

Course Description:
Interactive Course Map courtesy of Google Maps. Detailed course maps will be provided race day at packet pickup. The course will be painted and ready to go on Friday September 11th. Coaches please feel free to visit the course the week leading up to the race.
The Map contains the Boys and Girls Varsity and Boys Junior Varsity Race course (5k). The runners will run an outer loop (2k), followed by an inner loop (1k), and finish up with an outer loop (2k). 5k total length. The JV girls race will do two outer loops (4k) and the freshman will do an outer loop (2k) and one inner loop (1k) for a total of 3k.
Open Race:
The festival will begin with an Open Race at 7:30am. The race is open to the public but serves as a great opportunity for coaches, parents or younger brothers and sisters to compete on the same course as the high school athletes. Medals will be presented to the top 20 finishers for men and women. Age group winners will also receive awards. Overall meet winners will receive a FREE pair of Brooks shoes.

T-Shirts, Concessions and other Ammenities:
This is a Festival! We will have a wide variety of food, snacks, and drinks including a full BBQ at our concession stand. Big River Running Company and Brooks will be selling shoes and apparel on location. Meet t-shirts will also be sold and have always been a big seller so make sure to pick one up!

Directions:
The Forest Park Cross Country Festival is proud to call Forest Park home. Located in the center of Saint Louis, the park is home to several area landmarks including the St. Louis Science Center and the nationally-recognized St. Louis Zoo. The race course is located entirely on the Central Ball Fields. Coming from Highway 44 (64/40 is under construction) you enter the park from Hampton via the Hampton Ave. exit. Turn right on Wells Dr. and continue on Wells until you hit the fields. There is parking around the entire perimeter of the fields as well as on the nearby upper Muny parking lot.
