BRR White Team Member, Brandon Janosky, racked up an impressive 53.14 miles in the 8-hour Howl At the Moon ultramarathon! This is the largest timed ultra in the United States and is held at Kennekuk Cove County Park.

It was a happy Easter Sunday morning for the Big River team at the 10th annual Rez Run at the First Baptist Church of Crestwood. Ryan Bak took home the overall mens title with Margaret Lyons edging out teammate Natalie Provost for top honors on the female side. Helen Alexander and Carol Wright each won their age group and several white team members also had great runs including CJ Watson, Dan Virtue and Brent Newman.

A big congratulations to all of our masters track athletes who headed to Boston for the National Indoor Championships. Big River Running Company finished 56th out of 85 teams led by Gordon Reiter's third place in the Pentathlon (60-64). Jon Stone finished fourth in the 40-44 Pentathlon and Ernie Snodgrass was fourth in the 60 meter hurdles (55-59). The 4x400 team of Stone, Snodgrass, Rich Anderson and Bruce Auch crossed the line in third place with a time of 4:18.14

Adam MacDowell took time out from his vacation to run a 30:53 10k in Fairhope, Alabama at the Spring Fever Chase. He won by over seven minutes! Adam's next run will be the GO! St. Louis Half Marathon.

Ben Rosario hopped onto the track for a 5k under the lights at the Wash U Invite on Friday night. Rosario won the race in 14:29.61 in rainy, windy conditions.

For the second year in a row Chicago's Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle hosted an elite club race as part of it's 36,000 participant 8k race through the streets of downtown. The Big River men's team brought a solid squad for the 2010 race and finished a close second to the Wisconsin Runner Racing Team. Individually Ryan Bak led the way for Big River with a 5th place finish in 23:55. Ben Rosario was 10th in 24:09, Brian Lyons 15th in 24:32, Kyle Cameron 22nd in 24:48 and Karl Gilpin 26th in 25:04. On the women's side Natalie Provost came in 16th in 29:26. Erica Schoeller and Jen Rosario ran 31:18 and 31:43 on a very windy day to round out the team scoring for the ladies.

As always the Big River team was out in full force for the Michelob Ultra Saint Patrick's Day Parade Run downtown. The 2010 edition was the largest in the event's history with more than 12,000 registrants. Leading the way was Big River's Ryan Bak who pulled away at 3 miles to win by more than 20 seconds in 24:12 on the hilly course. Ben Rosario was second, Brian Lyons came in fourth, Adam MacDowell was fifth and Karl Gilpin crossed the line in sixth. For the ladies it was Julie Lossos who took home top honors in 28:42, a personal best. Margaret Lyons was third in 30:14. On the masters side Mitch Figas ran a personal best of 27:49 to capture first place among the 40-and-over crowd. Julie Bergfeld was third among masters women.
