Training Guide

Need some help getting started or having trouble bringing down that PR? This is the place! The Big River Training Guide is a comprehensive guide to help answer many of your training and racing related questions.

We have designed specific training guides for the half and full marathon, for both the beginner and expereinced runner/walker, as well as training guides to get ready for your first 5k or 10k.

You can also find information on upcoming Big River Training Clinics that cover different areas of training and racing.

Tips and Advice is the place to go for those miscellaneous running and walking questions like, "What should I wear when its 20 degrees outside?!?" or "How do I choose which kind of shoe is right for me?"
