Big River Running turns 10 years old on August, 14, 2016. Leading up to the big anniversary, we’re going to share some fun Top 10 lists that reflect on Big River’s history and our love for the St. Louis running community. This month’s top 10 features key dates and milestones for the Big River stores.

Big River Running Company Milestones
10. December 2004 – Matt Helbig and Ben Rosario toss around the idea of opening a running store during a Queeny Park run.
9. August 2006
- Big River Running Company opens its original West County location.
8. March 2008 –
Big River opens its second location in South St. Louis City.
7. June 2010 –
Big River opens its third location in O’Fallon, MO.
6. February 2012
– Big River relocates its West County location down a few doors to a bigger space.
5. November
2012 – Big River announced as one of four finalists for “Store of the Year” by Competitor Magazine.
4. October 2013 – Big River acquires a store in University City giving Big River its fourth location.
3. March 2014 – Big River expands the South City store by doubling its size!
2. December 2015 – Big River wins the Ubuntu Award for Community Service from Balega.
1. December 2015 – Big River continues its streak of being named to the Top 50 Running stores in the country (9 years in a row!).
