Boost just got better! Introducing The Ultra Boost from Adidas. The neutral shoe with a high tech cushioning system containing energy-returning properties to keep every step charged with an endless supply of light, fast energy. They have a breathable mesh upper with a bootie-like fit and features a grippy rubber outsole that’s built to log miles. Weighing in at 10.6 ounces, the Ultra Boost is carefully constructed to feel light and fast while still providing cushion and comfort.
Adidas treated the staff to a preview run and brought their test fleet out one cold, snowy morning in February. Always eager to try out something new, the staff laced up the newest neutral cushion shoe from Adidas and gave it a thorough vetting. Here is some feedback after the test run.
“The shoe felt very cushioned, but surprisingly responsive. The upper, especially at the heel, was very form fitting and enveloped my foot like a sock.”
“I am in my third pair of Energy Boosts and I didn’t think they could do much to improve this shoe but the Ultra Boost has an improved feel in the forefoot (cushioned and yet responsive). I love how the new 4-way stretch upper hugs my foot! Not to mention the 20% more Boost Bubbles. I can’t wait to take them out for my next long run.”
“I have been a huge fan of the Boost since it was introduced (I am on my fourth pair of Glide Boosts). The outsole seemed to adapt to my foot plant and align itself upon toe-off, all the while providing more cushion in the mid-foot than the original boost. I wasn’t too sure how the knit upper was going to feel but the shoe was very flexible. I cannot wait to do a long run in them to see if it feels the same at the end. If it does–Adidas has another winner!”
