Thanksgiving Day is the most popular race day of the year and for good reason, too. Exercising is a great way to kick off a holiday that usually includes a large, delicious meal. The races are family friendly, fun and a perfect tradition to start or continue in 2014! The Hungry Turkey – A Big River Signature Event, The Hungry Turkey 5k is extremely family friendly, offers awesome race swag and features a unique course that starts downtown at Union Station and runs across the Eades Bridge! Strollers are welcome and kids 12 and under register absolutely free with each paid adult! All paid participants receive a high quality, long-sleeve lifestyle hooded shirt. Runners who beat “the turkey” or finish in the top 3 of their age group receive additional swag! Kirkwood Webster Turkey Day Run – It’s tradition! Thousands of families have made the Kirkwood Webster Turkey Day Run their annual go-to race on Thanksgiving morning. This race is extremely budget friendly – only $18 for a chip-timed race! The first 4,000 registrants receive a commemorative beanie this year. The race features a charming route that starts in the heart of downtown Kirkwood and runs through the beautiful neighborhoods of Kirkwood and Webster Groves. Click here for more details.

Chesterfield Turkey Trot – In its 15th year, the Chesterfield Turkey Trot is a great family friendly event and especially convenient for those who live in West or St. Charles County.
