Introducing the new kid on the block from Under Armour. The Speedform Gemini is a lightweight trainer that is as versatile as it is innovative.
The Under Armour Gemini’s upper is made from a two-tone breatheable mesh and the seamless heel cup with foam collar features a locked-in fit and feel. The seams are smooth for next to skin comfort. The midsole is cushioned and responsive and the anatomical outsole feels very natural.
Trust Under Armour to try something new and different and while we applauded their ingenuity on previous shoes, they never quite hit the nail on the head and made a truly go-to training shoe. The Gemini is a huge improvement from previous attempts and our South City staff have been wear testing it for a few months now and have plenty of feedback to share.
Here is what our staff had to say about the Gemini:
“This shoe is super comfortable! The main thing I notice is the initial “slip on” comfort of the Gemini. Thanks to the seamless heel cup, it just feels like a slipper. I wear it as a recovery shoe primarily.” –Ben
“I was pleasantly surprised when I took them out for the first run. I ran three miles in them and found them very comfortable, responsive and supportive.” –Rita
“The volume in the front is a little low and pressed down on the top of my foot so I had to go up in size but the mesh is nice. Also, the heel counter fits very well even though it is low cut and I was concerned that my foot would come out of it. The fit in the back was the most pleasantly surprising thing about this shoe.” –Sam
“So comfortable! I am a track coach, and I have to stand around at meets all day. I wore my pair for 13 hours at one meet and honestly forgot that I was wearing a shoe.” –Nick
“I have been surprised by how much I enjoy running in this shoe. The seamless interior makes it extremely comfortable, even several miles into a run. It is very lightweight but has a nice amount of responsive cushioning. In a few words: comfy, responsive, and good-looking!” –Debbie
